When it comes to all around utility, the red mage is a perfect class. They are a cross between warriors, white mages, and black mages. They are able to engage in melee combat, cast ranged spells, and also heal. Although they can engage in many types of combat and roles, the red mage does not specialize in any of these. Their attack spells are not as devastating as a black mages, their healing is not as good as white mages, and they can not take as much damage as a warrior.
